Apply to one of four positions for the Esports Stadium Arlington Summer 2020 Internship Program. This paid internship program will run for 11 weeks from May 18 through July 31 and offers positions for Event Sales, Brand Activation, Event Operations, and Marketing.

Brand Activation Internship

Objective

To provide a qualified candidate with industry experience in providing brand value to partners across media advertisements, event activations, and venue naming rights.

Job Duties & Responsibilites

  • Assist in developing client relationships and retaining existing accounts.
  • Assist in research and creation of  lists of potential local brand partners.
  • Assist in reviewing sponsor activation through proof of performance.
  • Assist in brainstorming on new inventory and partner activation ideas.
  • Lead brand activation and sales for an internal event at ESA.
  • Work together with the other interns to amplify a pre-existing event at ESA.
  • Assist in creating weekly / bi-weekly reports for current partners.
  • Attend meetings, events and other partner opportunities.
  • Ability to work 20 hours per week for the 11 week duration of the program.
  • Duties are not limited to the above and additional tasks may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3.0+ GPA is preferred.
  • Motivated and flexible, able to rapidly respond to issues or changes.
  • Must have strong writing, verbal,  and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work seamlessly as part of a team.
  • Currently enrolled in a sales, marketing, advertising, or business major is preferred.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Experience in sales is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to Esports Stadium Arlington.

Marketing Intern

Objective

To provide a qualified candidate the opportunity to work with the Esports Stadium Arlington Creative Team and gain valuable experience in the esports industry with a focus on marketing.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with creation and execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with event day needs.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Create and coordinate social media content & calendar.
  • Assist with creating social media and web analytics reports.
  • Assist with Community outreach efforts.
  • Assist with In-Game Leaders Summer marketing strategy and execution.
  • Respond to customer questions and feedback.
  • Assist with event preparation.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating in-venue marketing materials.
  • Special projects as assigned to support marketing department initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3.0+ GPA is preferred
  • Current Marketing/Communications student at a 4 year university.
  • Experience with using social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord).
  • Working knowledge of esports and gaming (preferred).
  • Ability to work individually and in a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work 20 hours per week for the 11 week duration of the program and potentially nights/event weekends.
  • Possesses strong time-management skills with multiple deadlines and tasks.
  • Experience with managing social media/marketing campaigns.
  • Must have in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Experience with photography and photo editing programs a plus.
  • Well versed with online social media trends and memes.

Event Sales Internship

Objective

To provide a qualified candidate with sales experience that can bring in new events to the stadium.

Job Duties & Responsibilites

  • Assist in developing a process and workflow for managing small to medium sized events. 
  • Assist in bringing new events to ESA by reaching out to new companies or following up with past relationships. . 
  • Assist with vetting, managing and contacting new leads that come in through our lead portals. 
  • Assist in organizing and managing the ESA internal calendar. 
  • Assist with event planning and onsite execution for an ESA internal event. 
  • Work together with the other interns to amplify a pre-existing event at ESA
  • Assist in creating weekly / bi-weekly reports for current partners
  • Attend meetings, events and other partner opportunities.

Event Operations Intern

Objective

As an event operations intern, you will experience first hand what it takes to run a successful event. Event Operations Interns will be performing many of the day-of duties for events at Esports Stadium Arlington, including setup, registration, and event logistics. Interns should be motivated, willing to work as part of a team, and able to adapt quickly to unexpected situations.

Job Duties & Responsibilites

  • Setup and day-of logistics for events.
  • Ensuring internal events run on time and smoothly
  • Work together with the events team to organize and execute all sizes of events.
  • Explore and develop infrastructure for internal events.
  • Assist in financial management for events.
  • Assist in reporting information for events. 
  • Duties are not limited to the above and additional tasks may be assigned.
  • Ability to work 20 hours per week for the 11 week duration of the program.

Qualifications

  • 3.0+ GPA is preferred.
  • Motivated and flexible, able to rapidly respond to issues or changes.
  • Must be flexible to accommodate shift changes,  extended hours, weekends, and evenings.
  • Must be willing to work seamlessly as part of a team.
  • Experience running esports events and/or tournaments is preferred, but not required.
  • Reliable transportation to Esports Stadium Arlington.
